Project Overview

The Neighborhood Street Preservation Program is an annual City initiative to improve road conditions. In 2025, the City repaved 52 lane miles of residential streets in poor or failing condition. The City will repave more than 100 lane miles in 2026.

This program is based on findings from the Pavement Condition Assessment and is funded through the August 2024 Bond Election and the annual Street Overlay Program. Approximately $15 million will be invested to address deteriorating neighborhood streets before they worsen further through the 2024 Bonds. Additionally, the City will continue to allocate approximately $3 million annually for street overlay and road improvements.

The Annual Pavement Management Program will continue to receive separate funding through the City’s Capital Improvement Program. The Bond-funded work supplements—not replaces—this ongoing program.

Traffic Impacts

Minimal impacts to traffic are expected throughout construction. Periodic, short-term closures will be necessary as work progresses.
