Police Services

The Blue Springs Police Department is organized into four Bureaus: Administration, Community Services, Operations and Investigative Services.

Administration Bureau

The Administration Bureau is responsible for budgeting, policy formation, professional standards for internal affairs and accreditation, training, and overall department management.  

Community Services Bureau

The Community Services Bureau's outreach services impact the community on a daily basis. These services include:

    • Communications Unit (Police Dispatch)
    • Crime Prevention
    • Crisis Intervention
    • Records

Investigative Services

The Investigative Services Bureau specializes in:

    • Crime Analysts Unit
    • General Investigations Unit
    • Property and Evidence Unit
    • Special Victims Unit (SVU)

Operations Bureau

The Operations Bureau is responsible for the provision of basic police response and service to prevent and deter crime. These services include: 

    • Animal Control
    • Bike Patrol
    • Motorcycle Unit
    • Traffic Unit
    • Uniformed Patrol Unit
