Live City Council and Planning Commission meetings can be viewed on the City's YouTube Channel.

Recordings of City Council and Planning Commission meetings can be watched on CTV-7 (Comcast Channel 7) throughout the week.

You may contact your Councilmember directly to discuss the issue. Councilmembers are not full time, and do not have individual offices at City Hall, but do respond to messages and take phone calls. Any letter addressed to the Council that is received by Administration is copied and distributed to each Councilmember. The Council is also generally available before and after Council Meetings.

To address the Council directly as a body, the Council offers a Visitor’s Section at the end of each Council Meeting. If you wish to address a Public Hearing item on the Council agenda, you will have an opportunity to speak in support or opposition during the Public Hearing portion. In order to be properly recognized and to speak during the Visitor's section at the end of the meeting, please complete the online Speaker Appearance Form. Forms are also available at City Council meetings and should be given to the City Clerk.

Under the 'Sunshine Law' approved by the Missouri State Legislature, there are a limited number of topics the City Council may discuss without the presence of citizens or the press. There is the requirement for the likelihood that the Council might choose to go into Closed Session to be posted 24 hours before the action is taken, that posting to indicate what the subject is, so that anyone curious may determine that the subject is one that meets the State Statute requirements, and for the Council to respond to a roll call vote regarding the question of going into that Closed Session. That posting will be on either the agenda for a Council Meeting and the roll call vote to go into the Executive Session will be during that prior meeting.
