Planning Division
The Planning Division helps residents, property owners, and developers understand land use requirements and navigate the development review process. The division administers development standards and guides current and long-range planning to preserve and enhance the quality of life in Blue Springs.
Current Planning & Development Review
- Answers questions about zoning, land use, and the development review process.
- Reviews development applications and plans for consistency with the Unified Development Code and adopted plans.
- Provides recommendations on land use matters to City Council and applicable boards and commissions.
Long-Range Planning
- Maintains and implements the goals and policies of the City’s Comprehensive Plan.
- Prepares current and future land use plans and special studies.
- Maintains community statistics and profile information and supports planning for the Capital Improvement Program.
