Many home improvement projects require a permit and must meet zoning and building code requirements. Before starting work, contact City Development to confirm the requirements for your project.

Have your property address and a description of the proposed work ready. Staff can help identify the applicable application materials and review steps.

Subdivision Restrictions & Covenants

Your property may also be subject to subdivision restrictions, deed restrictions, or private covenants. Check these requirements before proceeding with your project. The City does not enforce these private agreements.

Review the permit application resources below. Applications are also available at City Hall, 903 W. Main Street, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
