About CDBG
The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program supports housing, neighborhood improvements, and economic opportunity, principally for people with low and moderate incomes. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) provides funding to participating communities.
CDBG in Blue Springs
Blue Springs became a CDBG entitlement community in 2006. The City Development Department administers the City’s program and coordinates the local funding review process.
Public Service & Nonprofit Funding Requests
Organizations proposing eligible CDBG activities may submit funding requests for consideration through the City’s review process, which includes staff, the CDBG Advisory Committee, and City Council.
