It is the policy of the Blue Springs Police Department to provide opportunities for non-sworn personnel or citizens to become aware of police practices and procedures by riding with a component of the department. Through education based upon observation of police practices, citizens will become more understanding of problems facing the police and more supportive of efforts by the department.
