CJC Emergency Management Agency
The Central Jackson County Emergency Management Agency (CJCEMA) is a cooperative effort between the cities of Blue Springs, Grain Valley, and Lake Tapawingo in conjunction with the Central Jackson County Fire Protection District.
The member entities provide emergency preparedness planning for their respective jurisdictions and surrounding unincorporated areas.
Federal Emergency Management Agency
Through the coordination of the CJCEMA, a majority of Blue Springs city staff have completed the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) National Incident Management System training. This system ensures that all levels of government, nongovernmental organizations, and the private sector work seamlessly to oversee a major disaster or complicated situation.
Everbridge
Because severe weather can strike at any moment in the Midwest, we are asking residents to sign up for the new emergency alert system called Everbridge. Now, more than ever, it’s important to receive these alerts.
In conjunction with Central Jackson County Emergency Management Agency (CJCEMA) and the City of Grain Valley, Missouri, Everbridge provides a new way to receive emergency and informational alerts, including severe weather events, water main breaks, and other public safety notifications. As always, please make sure you have at least two methods for weather alerts in case of emergency. Login/Register
