Call the Building Inspection Hotline at 816-228-0104. Have your permit number, property address, inspection type, and contact information ready.
Inspection requests must be made by 3 p.m. the day before the requested inspection date. Requests received after 3 p.m. may be scheduled for the next available business day based on inspector availability. Same-day inspections will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis for life-safety concerns.

Before the Inspector Arrives
Confirm the required inspection with Codes Administration, make sure the work is ready, and coordinate access to the inspection area.
If work is not ready when the inspector arrives, the inspection may be recorded as failed, a reinspection fee may apply, and the project may be delayed.
